Before boarding, the whole crew attend a pre-flight briefingheld by the captain, who reviews the flight schedule and informs them of the weather conditions, special needs passengers,or any other concerns related to the flight.then the cabin service director or purser will assign each attendant to a particular section of the airplane, and inform them of any VIP’s or CIP’s on board.

Before the airplane takes off,the CA’swill:
Greet passengers and direct them to their seats.
Help passengers stow their hand laggage either in the overhead compartment(or the overhead locker) or under the seat in front of them.

Make sure passengers near the emergency exits are prepared to help out in an emergence.
Make sure that all passengers keep to the safety guidelines, and advise them to read the passengers safety cards kept in the seat pocket in front of them.

Check every seat to make sure that all passengers have their seatbelts fastened and that their seats and small folding tables are in a upright position.
Arm the doors and prepare the cabin for take off .This involves operating a lever from one position to another on the door. The “arm”position allows the emergency chute to open automatically during an emergency. After that the cabin crew”cross-check”to make sure all the doors aer armed.

When the aircraft taxis from the stand to the end of the runway, the cabin crew perform the passengers safety demonstrations and shows a safety video.
After they have worked through the procedures,CA’s strap themselves into their jump seats.
